The Trails for Creston Valley Society (TCVS) is a volunteer-led, registered non-profit dedicated to building and maintaining a growing network of public trails across the Creston Valley. Our mission is to safeguard and maintain access to our precious outdoors for future generations through trail building and maintenance, ensuring public land and water access, and promoting environmental stewardship.

Event Coordinator
The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing TCVS events. This volunteer role keeps our events running smoothly, ensures our volunteers and attendees have a great experience, and helps TCVS show up strongly in the community we serve. The ideal candidate thrives on logistics, loves bringing people together, and has a knack for keeping a lot of moving pieces organized without breaking a sweat. Experience in event planning or volunteer coordination is plus! Expect a few hours per week with additional time around events, plus attendance at monthly board meetings.

The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for identifying, planning, and supporting fundraising initiatives that help Trails for Creston Valley Society grow and sustain its trail building and maintenance work. This volunteer role is central to keeping TCVS financially healthy and mission-driven — finding creative ways to engage our community and secure the resources that keep our trails open and beautiful for everyone. The ideal candidate is organized, enthusiastic, and comfortable connecting with people and local businesses. Experience in fundraising, sales, or community organizing is an asset, but a genuine passion for the Creston Valley and a willingness to roll up your sleeves is what matters most. A few hours per week, plus attendance at monthly board meetings.

This role manages our active volunteer list, improves engagement, tracks volunteer hours, and supports communication. Most tasks happen through our website and email systems, while maintaining close phone communication on occasion. If you are comfortable using an online platform, enjoy organization, community building, and light data entry—this role is for you. Time expectations each month -less than 4 hours during busy volunteer periods, plus occasional board meetings.

Love hiking? That's literally all this takes. One person or several — the more the merrier. This role has no limit. Trails for Creston Valley Society is looking for hiking enthusiasts to help inspire and motivate our members to get out on the trails — no meetings, no admin, no tools, no experience required. Just a genuine love of getting outside and sharing that energy with others. This is an informal, low-commitment volunteer role with one simple purpose: keeping the energy alive in our members-only community forum. We're looking for people who want to post about their hikes, share trail conditions, celebrate a great sunrise, rave about wildflowers, or simply say "who's heading out this weekend?" You are not organizing or leading group hikes. You are not responsible for anyone else's safety or experience. You are simply a presence in the forum — someone who loves the trails and isn't shy about saying so and inviting people along with you. If you already talk about trails constantly and post photos of your hikes, you might already be doing this job. We'd just love for you to bring that energy into the TCVS member community.
