2021 Trails for Creston Valley AGM

Please join Trails for Creston Valley Society for our 2021 Annual General Meeting, and October board meeting,

We will be meeting at 7:00 pm on Tuesday October 12, at St. Stephen's church hall (306 Northwest Blvd). All members of the public are welcome and anyone attending must show proof of vaccination and wear a mask as per Interior Health Orders.

We will be providing an update on our recent projects, as well as discussing plans for the future. If you are interested in becoming a board member, or just hearing what the Trails Society has been up to lately, please join us!

Mt. Midgeley Work Bee: Blowdown, a Dyson, and a Hermit Thrush

Some work bees are straightforward. This one had a little bit of everything. When we put out the call for volunteers to head up Mt. Midgeley Trail on July 12 for a day of trail clearing and cabin cleanup, we weren't entirely sure what we'd find up there. Ka Papa Cedars Trail: Clear, Clean, and Ready

If Ka Papa Cedars has been on your list, now is a great time to go. Monday, TCVS volunteers headed out to tackle a blowdown that had been blocking the trail. Six trees down, six trees cut out and cleared. The trail is now open and in excellent shape — exactly the way it should be. This is the quiet, unglamorous side of trail stewardship.
